Born to Late Smt Vijayalakshmi and Late Shri G V L N Sastry in a modest South Indian Telugu Brahmin family, I spent most of my life in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. My typical day as a child never saw boredom. I was either practicing math (with earplugs & music), dancing, singing, playing the veena, painting, doing hand-embroidery, stitching & sewing, out shopping on the streets with my mom, or cleaning the house like a freak (only to be named one by my brothers) or bossing over my younger brother in the name of teaching him. I connected more with arts and math than mere mortals. You could always hear me say “What’s next ma?” and try my luck checking if I can do something unrelated to what I was doing. My brothers claim I mostly got away with irrational asks. A hyper, smart, witty, efficient, warm, skilled, poised, energetic mother can be an inspiration. My energy & zeal is absolutely kept intact by my gorgeous teenage daughter Niki , my "raison d'etre" .
I truly believe that one life is not enough to absorb all the knowledge in this world, this calls for one to be a student for life.
